NEWS FLASH!!! TRAINING CHANGES!!!

This is Scouting - the new online course - replaces New Leader Essentials. For all Scout leaders, it is required to be considered "trained". It's a new course and getting a lot of traffic. If it hangs, log out & log in again. You will need your personal id number (found on your membership card or available through your committee chair) to have your training records updated. If you do not have your number yet, you may log in later and add the number. You will need access to a computer with a printer in order to print out your completion card. The new code for training records is "WA01".

Climb On Safely and Trek Safely are both online now. Be sure to take these courses as you plan safe activities for your Scouts. Available through the BSA online learning center.

Training Awards

Training Awards will no longer be processed through the council office. Do not send any "knot" cards to the council. Training awards should be given to the district training chair for processing.

Why go to training?

Trained leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for boys and young men and young women. When leaders understand the whys and hows of Scouting, they are more effective in their roles and the youth win!

Every Scout deserves trained leaders! And, every leader deserves to be trained!
