The Phoenix District welcomes you!

The Phoenix District of the Sam Houston Area Council - Boy Scouts of America serves the Klein ISD area, west of Kuykendahl Road.

Most Phoenix District events and activities can be found via the menu pages on the left side of your screen - most of these are open to the public.  The center section shows what's happening in the near future, but you'll need a username to access any additional info there.  The right side shows our calendar for the next few weeks; you'll have to log in to access the full calendar.  All registered adults in the Phoenix District should have usernames.  If you haven't received yours, please click "Request Access" on the left.

Yours in Scouting,

That’s why all Scouters should take heed of this breaking BSA news: Effective Sept. 1, 2015, the use of 15-passenger vans manufactured before 2005 will no longer be allowed in connection with Scouting programs and activities.

15-passenger vans manufactured in 2005 or later may be used, as long as they are equipped with Electronic Stability Control and seat belts for all passengers and the driver.

Cub Scouts - Mathematics Belt Loop Classes

Posted on Feb 2 2015 - 6:50pm

Sylvan Learning Center in Northwest Houston has a new program called Math Edge that is a fun, engaging way for elementary-aged kids to get an edge in math. We’ve put together a free one-hour class that combines our Math Edge curriculum with other math activities to fulfill the Cub Scout Mathematics Belt Loop requirements!

A Sylvan teacher could come to one of your pack meetings to lead the group through their Math Belt Loop requirements.
